Arizona Agricultural Education / FFA Foundation Gator Raffle
ELIGIBILITY: Entry purchaser, and anyone to whom an entry purchaser legally transfers an entry, must be either a business entity or an individual 18 years or older and a legal U.S. resident at time of entry purchase and be a resident of the State of Arizona. If you do not meet any of these requirements or any other eligibility requirements in these Official Rules, you are not eligible to win a prize.
Tickets will be sold through authorized Arizona Agricultural Education / FFA Foundation (AAEFF) board members, FFA Alumni members, FFA advisors and FFA or AAEFF staff members only. Others may also be authorized to sell tickets.
Tickets may be purchased online at www.FFAraffle.org, or by mail request to P.O. Box 33455, Phoenix, Arizona 85067 well as in person at the Blue & Gold Gala on January 27, 2018. For online ticket purchases, an authorized representative from the AAEFF shall complete an actual paper ticket by filling in the name, address, phone number and e-mail address of online purchaser. It is the responsibility of ticket purchaser to correctly provide contact information including name, address, telephone number and e-mail address so that he or she can be promptly entered into the Raffle and be contacted should he or she be deemed a winner. A receipt of online purchase/donation will be e-mailed to ticket purchaser. AAEFF assumes no responsibility for lost, late, misdirected, mutilated, incomplete, illegible or non-delivered entries. Any mutilated, incomplete or illegible entries will be deemed invalid and will be disqualified.
DATES OF SALE AND TICKET PRICE: Raffle tickets will be sold from September 1, 2017 through Saturday, January 27, 2018 until the drawing is held. The Grand Prize winner will be pulled in a random drawing at approximately 7:00 pm on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the Blue & Gold Gala.
Raffle tickets will be sold at one price point: single tickets for $20. There is no limit on the number of tickets an individual can buy, nor is there a cap on the number of tickets being sold. All Raffle tickets will be numbered.
DRAWING: All entries received will be entered in the main drawing to be held at the Blue & Gold Gala on January 27, 2018. One winning entry will be drawn at random at approximately 7:00 pm at the Blue & Gold Gala on January 27, 2018. Winner need not be present to win. Any winning ticket holder not present at time of the drawing will be notified by phone and/or mail no later than February 1, 2018. The winning ticket holder will need to physically pick up the Grand Prize at a location in Arizona to be determined. State issued identification that matches the name and address on the winning Raffle ticket will be required.
AAEFF will attempt to reach and notify the winner by phone number and or email address provided. If the winning ticket holder cannot be reached, or does not answer by telephone or respond by email within 14 days after being notified, an alternate winner will be drawn on February 11, 2018 and the same notification process will take place.
GRAND PRIZE: One $10,000 credit at an Arizona Stotz Equipment Store which may be used on a John Deere Gator or other item. Please do not contact Stotz Equipment about this Raffle. Call (602) 705-9211 with questions or HERE.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The winner must provide AAEFF with a valid taxpayer identification number or social security number before any prize will be awarded. Prize is not transferable, redeemable for cash or exchangeable for any other prize. All prizes are awarded "AS IS" and WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, express or implied (including, without limitation, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose). The winner will be responsible for sales tax and license fees. The Winner will receive an IRS form 1099 at the end of the calendar year and a copy of such form will be filed with the IRS. If the winner is disqualified for any reason, AAEFF reserves the right to determine an alternate winner or not to award that winner’s prize, in its sole discretion. Except where prohibited by law, by entering the Raffle, all participants and winner grant AAEFF permission to use their names, characters, photographs, voices, and likenesses in connection with promotion of this Raffle and other Raffles and contests and waive any claims to royalty, right, or remuneration for such use. By entering the Raffle, each participant and winner waives any and all claims of liability against and releases any and all causes of action against AAEFF, its board, employees and agents, the Raffle’s sponsors and their respective employees and agents, related to any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the Raffle or the use of any prize, or delivery, misdelivery, acceptance, possession, use of or inability to use any prize (including, without limitation, claims, costs, injuries, losses and damages related to personal injuries, death, damage to or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation or portrayal in a false light, whether intentional or unintentional), whether under a theory of contract, tort (including negligence), warranty or other theory.
COMPLIANCE WITH LAW: The conduct of the Raffle is governed by the applicable laws of the State of Arizona, which take precedence over any rule to the contrary herein. All applicable federal, state and locals laws and regulations also apply. The winner assumes all liability and agrees to hold AAEFF and its board harmless for any injury or damage caused, or claimed to be caused, by participation in this Raffle or use or redemption of any prize. Any provision of these Official Rules deemed unenforceable will be enforced to the extent permissible, and the remainder of these Official Rules will remain in effect.
TAX & IRS RULES: All proceeds benefit The Arizona Agricultural Education / FFA Foundation, a non-profit organization operating under paragraph 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and the laws of the State of Arizona. Our Tax ID is 86-0531662. The IRS has taken the position that amounts paid for chances to participate in raffles, lotteries or similar programs are not gifts and, therefore, the price of the entry may not qualify as a deductible charitable contribution or donation for income tax purposes. ALL FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL TAXES ASSOCIATED WITH THE RECEIPT OR USE OF ANY PRIZES ARE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE WINNER. Please contact a tax professional with questions.
