Who was the FFA Advisor that influenced you the most?
Mr. Dennis Bushong, Mr. Ken Johnson, Ms. Marci Alderman
What FFA Chapter did you attend?
What are you doing these days?
After taking advantage of nearly every opportunity available through the FFA organization, and verifying my love for Agriculture Education while student teaching, I decided a career in that field was where I belonged. Currently, I am the Agriculture Education Instructor/FFA Advisor at Queen Creek High School. I teach in a strictly plant science program where we operate two production oriented greenhouses. Within my first year of teaching, I have been able to successfully improve nearly 115 students Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) programs; increase CDE team participation, and help guide a student leadership team to develop a Gold Ranked chapter in the state of Arizona. Each day is a new challenge, and I enjoy working with such a diverse group of learners.
What did you enjoy the most about the FFA?
The best memories made while in FFA had to be during my year of service as a State FFA Officer in 2013-14. Traveling across Arizona and the United States promoting Agriculture Education and the FFA with nine of the finest individuals I’ve ever come to know was a year well spent. From our early morning drives to a chapter visit to a random weekend trip to Yuma for hot dogs from Rosie’s on 8th, lots of memories were made and friendships that would last for a lifetime.
